Pawn Stars' Big Hoss Corey Harrison Arrested on DUI Charges in Las Vegas

Reality TV personality Corey Harrison, known as "Big Hoss" on the popular History Channel show "Pawn Stars," is facing a DUI charge following his recent arrest in Las Vegas.

Harrison was pulled over by police at approximately 2 a.m. local time on a Friday. The reason for the stop was his white Ford F250 pickup, which was reportedly swerving within a bike lane. According to a police report obtained by EW (Entertainment Weekly), the arresting officer noted that Harrison's eyes seemed bloodshot, and there was a strong smell of alcohol emanating from his vehicle.

On the day of his arrest, Harrison had flown to Las Vegas from Minnesota, where he was filming "Pawn Stars Do America." He was asked to perform a field sobriety test, which, as reported by TMZ, he allegedly failed. Subsequently, he was requested to undergo a breathalyzer test or provide a blood sample. Harrison consented to the breathalyzer, but the testing equipment was apparently malfunctioning, leading to a blood sample being taken. The results of this sample are not yet known, but Harrison was booked on an alleged DUI charge as a consequence of the incident.

In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the reality star expressed his intention to hire an attorney to defend himself. He stated, "I'm not going to say, '(Screw) Metro! Drinking and driving should be legal!'" Harrison emphasized that he does not support drinking and driving but is determined to defend himself against the charges. He also claimed to have consumed only one drink on his flight to Vegas, which occurred seven hours prior to his traffic stop. Harrison cited several reasons for his alleged failure in the field sobriety test, including an infected right shin that affected his stability and the challenging paver-stone surface where he was pulled over. Additionally, he mentioned that some of the officers present had to depart urgently for a separate incident. Despite the incident, Harrison stated that his driver's license remained unaffected.

Corey Harrison has been a prominent figure at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas and has played a significant role in the "Pawn Stars" series since its debut on the History Channel in 2009.
